The 4-Tuner Fire TV Recast includes a 1 TB hard drive allowing up to 150 hours of recording in HD quality. With a 4-tuner Fire TV Recast, you can:

The Fire TV Recast uses Wi-Fi to send live and recorded programs to compatible devices and TVs. It doesn’t physically connect to a TV (there are no AV or HDMI outputs). After purchase, access to all FireTV Recast features is free. This means you don’t have to pay for recording or viewing programs. You can schedule recordings up to14 days in advance. You can also schedule the recording of a TV series 14 days before the first episode with subsequent episodes recorded as they become available unless canceled in advance. You can use Alexa with Fire TV Recast via a FireTV Edition TV, stick/box or Echo Show to search for programs, change TV channels, control playback, schedule, cancel, and delete recordings.

Fire TV Recast Signal Reception Factors
Although the Fire TV Recast receives over-the-air TV broadcast signals for viewing and recording, there are factors that may affect performance:
Resolution – TV stations may transmit channels at resolutions varying from 480i to 1080i, which is allowed under current digital TV broadcast guidelines. Antenna location and range – The location and distance of the TV transmitter in relation to your location may require a different indoor or outdoor antenna or placement. Transmitter interference – Other external factors, such as airplane traffic, geographic obstacles, or weather events, may interfere with TV signal(s).
